Marley Brett was our sweetest boy for 13 years. When we got him we picked him from the litter because he was so chill. Little did we know he was just sick. Once all better he was bouncing like all normal puppies do. His long ears and sweet eyes…he will always hold a special place in our hearts. Marley loved to lay day all over the house. Sometimes he wanted to be where we were or sometimes off on his own. He didn’t like toys but he loved his antler bone filled with peanut butter, and he loved pig ears. He enjoyed naps, walks outside with his sister Soph, laying in the sun on warm days, rotisserie chickens, and in his younger years eating any food he could find. Including bags of potatoes, loaves of bread, 9 chocolate bars and a batch of chocolate cupcakes. Marley greeted everyone with a special smile, and tail wag. He was gentle, kind, and always knew when we needed his love. The sound of his nails on the floor will be missed. The sound of his 7am bark for potty time will be missed…or him banging on the door to be let in or out. I would give anything for extra ear rubs at night before bed, or him sneaking up to put his head on my lap as I worked. Marley took a piece of our hearts with him to heaven. See you when we get there buddy. Run, eat, play, sleep, and say hi to Grandpa for us. RIP sweet boy. |
