My sidekick. My first best friend.

We had a special bond over the years. You were the family dog, but you were my little sidekick. Through all the dark times, you were a light. When I needed a hand to hold, I received your paw; a hug, I received a snuggle; a friend, I received more loyalty than I’ve ever thought was possible.

It took me 12 years before I was able to get another pup because I couldn’t handle if you would be upset with me. Somehow, I feel your light shining through this new pup now too.

You will never be replaced or forgotten. You showed me the special love that comes from a dog, one that can’t fully be understood unless you share the bond.
