Our Precious Girl – Blair Renata Carolina Glöckner Meadows Blair was adopted from the Edmond Animal Shelter as an adult cat. She had a rough past but from the first day with Amanda, she received unconditional love (and a huge amount of treats). It took Blair almost a year to warm up to Amanda and fully accept all pettings and being picked up. Once her trust was earned, it was the begging of a life long friendship. Blair thrived through the following years and soon got a daddy, Philip. Again, it took a while to win her over, after all Blair was always very selective of those she liked to be around. Blair had an extensive name, each narrated a personality trait. Her morning routine was to wake up daddy for treats and hop back in bed with mommy for more food later. Blair would faithfully wait for Amanda before hopping on the bed to go to sleep. Even in the thick of her diagnosis, she fought and remained our sweet girl, always looking for the next cuddle. We are immensely grateful for the 8 and a half years we got to spend with you, mami. You are and will be forever missed in this household (especially at bedtime), and in our hearts. Thank you for the memories and all of the love you brought us. You have been part of this family from the start. May you rest in peace, baby girl. |
