Memorial
Cooper “Squeaks” Dominici, 11, passed away surrounded by his adoring family after a battle with Cushing’s Disease. Cooper’s life got off to a rough start, but at 1.5 years old, he was taken in by Ohio Fuzzy Paws Shih Tzu Rescue, and he found his forever family shortly after. Always curious, Cooper spent most of his first meeting with his parents trying to reach a stuffed Packers toy perched on top of a bookshelf. Toys were his passion, and he spent many of his first nights with his mom and dad squeaking all through the night, earning him his middle name. When he got excited, he would do zoomies and move his little paws up and down to match his dad’s hands as they played. Cooper also loved meeting new people and dogs, basking in all of the attention that his cuteness deserved. A busy sidewalk was his happy place, and he often led walks to where he knew he could make new friends. He never met another dog he didn’t like and was even crowned an evaluation helper at his doggy daycare because of his social nature. Being his parent’s first fur baby, he was a constant companion and confidant through many life changes. He was there for the family move to Wisconsin, their engagement, marriage, first home, and the family’s eventual move back to Ohio. He graciously made room for his adopted Shih Tzu brothers, Toodles, in 2017 and Bogie in 2020. Although Cooper was never a traditional cuddler or kisser, his affection was never questioned. He was a constant shadow following his daddy from room to room so he could be napping nearby. His deep sighs as he drifted off to sleep will be so missed. Cooper is survived by his dad Dru, his mom Ashley, brothers Toodles (12) and Bogie (16), as well as grandparents Jim, Olga, Dane, and Lorrie. He is preceded in death by his great grandparents, Baka and Deka Baic, and his step fur brother Heisman. Cooper was his parents’ inspiration to adopt his brothers, and his life’s legacy will be all the future pups the love he gave will save. In Cooper’s memory, please consider adopting instead of shopping or donating to Ohio Fuzzy Pawz Shih Tzu Rescue.Guestbook
