Miss Kitty, my dear little kitty girl, you had a cat cold for the previous two weeks and I did all I could for you. I thought a vet trip would get it cured; it didn’t. I can only say goodbye to you; you lived long and were loved. We will meet again!Guestbook

Dear Miss Kitty, I remember when you came to us; Miss Donna gave you to us. So, counts as a rescue. You lived with us a solid 15 years. That’s a long time in cat years. I remember how you gobbled turkey, hence, the nickname Turkey Cat, every Thanksgiving. I remember your love of seafood and sushi. How you loved salmon every Christmas morning! Now, you are going all due to a cat cold I tried by any and all means under my power to cure. I didn’t know you were dying. I thought it was like a regular cat cold like you had previously. However, you did play with your new toy for a bit as a get well present until you didn’t. The moment I saw the green-yellow gunk in your eyes, I knew something had taken a turn for the worst, especially after your good day yesterday. I tried to get you cured at the closest vet. Turns out I was too late; you got tired of fighting and your little body gave out. I tried everything I could…perhaps you passed in the car and in your carrier on the way there today, perhaps it was before then and I didn’t know. Regardless, you had one good day yesterday after two weeks of sickness! I guess that was your last rally, a “swan song”, one might say. I am trying to process it, kitty girl. I did everything I could for you to help…running my humidifer 24/7, venting my room, keeping water and food down there below my bed. At least, you had some chicken soup for cats, a bit of food and water, and your last push pop, salmon, of course, before your passing. You were a well-loved cat, Miss Kitty, and, now, there is a hole in mine and Mama’s heart because you are not there anymore. Mama is going to give you a burial. If you are in critter heaven, have fun with Peno, Dinah, Frito, Smudgie, Snookie, and Cat. Have all of the salmon and laser pointers you want girl! We love you and we miss you; don’t you ever go forgetting that, kitty girl. One day, we will meet again! So, wait for us. We’ll be a family again eventually.
