Memorial

Lazlo, Maeve, and Otto (she/her) crossed the rainbow bridge on May 19, 2025 in a tragic house fire. They are survived by their loving people, Ned, Kaitlyn, Maggie and AJ, their sisters Winter and Marshall, and countless friends and family members who spent hours trying to snuggle cats that preferred their hiding spots over having to deal with being petted by strangers. Lazlo and Maeve started their short lives together being bottle fed by their two-legged mom, who never met a cat she didn’t find a way to keep. They spent time bonding with their grandmother, great aunt, and too many four-legged cousins to count. Lazlo was a beautiful orange brindle who often sought out snuggles and trouble in the form of knocked over water glasses, had a preference for flower pots over litter boxes, and the timing of a man who enjoyed cleaning his bits in the background of web meetings. Maeve was an unassuming calico who loved to snuggle up in your bed at a distance, and was unamused by her brother’s shenanigans. When she would be coaxed out, she would cover you in love for as much time as a busy woman can afford to give. Otto was a beautifully coated calico and came with a bit of a fight, tearing up the SPCA staff attempting to get her into the carrier, but as soon as she got home she snuggled right up with her adoptive mom and new (four-legged) sister Winter. She had a big personality in close quarters and while she wasn’t a huge fan of really any one else, she took a specific liking to the men in the house. Her favorite hobby was waking her two-legged “grandfather” up at three a.m. for pets and snuggles. Our family is absolutely devastated by their unexpected loss.
