Memorial

We found you on the road one day over ten years ago. That day officially started our new family. After having you involved in our lives for so long it is difficult to be in my home without you. No more claws on the floor as you walk. No more barking at anything that passes the window. Worst of all, no more several hour long blanket cuddles. You were an absolute sweet heart, on your own time. I did my best to give you the life you deserved, but now that it is over I feel that I could have done so much more. More walks, treats, playtime, cuddles, everything. The only comfort that I have is that I was able to be with you for so long and hold you close for one last cuddle as you took your last, and longest, sleep. Rest well my little shadow.
