Charley Thatcher was born on April 8, 2015 in Sparta, MI. He passed away suddenly with complications to his liver on February 4, 2023. Charley was 1 of 8 Goldendoodle puppies born on April 8, 2015 in Sparta, MI. While Charley remained in the Grand Rapids area, the remaining 7 Goldendoodle puppies were scattered throughout Michigan and Wisconsin. Charley was an energetic dog to say the least. He loved to run around the yard and chase squirrels and birds. When he was young, he broke through the wireless fence many times. He was known for standing on his back legs and testing to see if the wireless fence was working. Charley was found several times in swamp areas covered in mud after running through the wireless fence. Charley loved to go to puppy daycare at Whiskers in Kentwood. He loved to run around the gated space with his friend Mia – another Goldendoodle. He was often a favorite of the staff. The staff at Whiskers loved his energy! Charley absolutely loved people. If you had a pulse, Charley wanted you to pet and play with him. He constantly had a dog toy in his mouth. He loved to squeak his dog toys until someone threw the toy across the room. Charley loved to snuggle on the couch with anyone in the Thatcher family. He had no concept of personal space! We will miss you Charley! Ryan, Janet, and Jonathan ThatcherGuestbook

Charlie (or as I affectionately called him, Charles) was the happiest, most loving and energetic doodle boy. His mom and I actually met because she heard I also had a Goldendoodle, so I credit him with Janet and my friendship. Hearing of his passing was heartbreaking, knowing he and his buddy, Mia, are the same age. He will be missed by the Bailey family.
