Gracie Mae Girouard, she was much more than just the family cat. She was our sibling, and she knew that. At times it truly felt like she understood exactly what we were saying, and i’m 95% sure she did she was on this earth for 23 years how could she not learn a few words. She lived during 9/11, she lived during hurricane Katrina, she survived a tornado, she was one tough cat. Gracie loved to catch all the rats from the cane fields, lay under her favorite tree outside, and she loved to lay by the window in the living room by the blinds but most importantly she loved all of us even until her last breath. She looked at my mom and told her “meow” before she stopped breathing and I think Gracie was telling her she loved us. I miss her every day, she was my best friend… we all love you Gracie Mae, furever.
